Biography

Susan Carol Woodson is a recitalist and is Organiste –Titulaire of the historic Saint Nicholas Church in the heart of Brussels, Belgium.  Frequently participating in international festivals of music, she has presented concerts throughout North America and Europe. As a recording artist, Dr. Woodson has completed several compact disc recordings, all of which have received international acclaim.

Recipient of numerous prizes and awards, Dr. Woodson was granted the  Prix d’Excellence à l’Unanimité from  The National Conservatory of Reuil-Malmaison, France, where she was a student of Marie-Claire Alain. Other prizes and scholarships have been awarded by The Belgian-American Education Foundation of Brussels, Belgium, The Yale school of Music of New Haven, Connecticut, and La Fondation des Etats-Unis of Paris, France, as well as other universities and music societies.

Susan Carol Woodson received the Doctor of Musical Arts from Yale University School of Music.

Additional university degrees include the Master of Music from The Juilliard School, the Bachelor of Music, Summa cum Laude, from The University of Tennessee, and the Diplome de Musique from The American Conservatory of Fontainebleau, France.
